Acne Scars

Best Acne Scars Treatment in Faridabad

Acne scars are formed when acne lesions penetrate the skin deeply and damage the tissues beneath it. Before we try to treat scars, its important to know what type they are.

Each type responds to treatment differently, and some treatments are better for  particular types than others.

    1. Macular scars – these are superficial scars that are at skin level and are primarily discolorations of the skin. Dr sanchika uses a combination of medical treatment, chemical peels, microneedling to achieve improvement.
    2. Icepick scars – these are narrow , V- shaped deep scars that look like icepicks. Ice pick scars give an appearance of round or oval holes into the skin. Some may even look like large, open pores. Dr. sanchika prefers to perform TCA-CROSS first and then followed by a combination of treatments such as microneedling, lasers.
    1. Rolling scars – these scars give the skin a wave like appearance. These scars result due to pull from underlying structures with the help of fibrous bands. It is best to perform subcision first to break the fibrous bands that tether these scars to the underlying subcutaneous tissue. Dr. Sanchika develop a treatment plan best suited to your skin.
    1. Boxscar scars – these are deep and broad scars. They may be round, square or oval shaped. Edges are vertically steep like chicken pox scars. Dr. Sanchika uses a multi method approach with combination of microneedling, lasers, PRP, Hyaluronic acid fillers.
  1. Hypertrophic scars & keloid – these are red, raised scars resulting due to excessive collagen formation during the healing process. Dr. Sanchika aims to shrink the raised scar by a combination of intralesional injections and microneedling with radiofrequency.
